Abdul Gaffoor Mosque

Masjid Abdul Gaffoor (Malay) for Abdul Gaffoor Mosque; is a mosque in Singapore that is also known as the Dunlop Street Mosque and Indian Mosque. It is located at 41 Dunlop Street and it’s named after Shaik Abdul Gaffoor bin Shaik Hyder. Known by various names such as Abdul Gafoor Mosque, Abdul Gafor Mosque, Abdul Gaffor Mosque, Abdul Gaphore Mosque, Abdul Gapore Mosque, Dunlop Street Mosque and Indian Mosque – the mosque was constructed in 1907.

The mosque's infrequent layout, symmetry and incorporation of Moorish details set it apart from other mosques. Modeled after Saracenic and Roman designs, the mosque has many many Western classical motifs that are used in the architectural ornamentation of the mosque.
